Shigeo Goto specializes in editing, directing and producing contemporary arts expressly related to photographs. He also takes an active part in producing commodities as a member of a creative unit "Code (www.code-re.com) " which he has been organizing with other associates such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, a musician. He puts all his energies into creating new movements of culture as a program director of "WORD (a cultural salon of Shiseido at Ginza, Tokyo)" and a committee member of "KPO Kirin Plaza Osaka (an exhibition space in Osaka)". He has recently been involved in an incubation project of the "A.I.I (Akihabara Imaginative Institute, an NPO which attaches the importance to Akihabara IT center)" to promote next generation creators. Since 2003, He has assumed office as a professor and a chairman of the course, Art Studies and Produce, Kyoto University of Art and Design.
