1929 Born in Osaka prefecture, Japan.1951 Left the Sculpture Department of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. 1960 Joined Nippon Design Center Inc. on the occasion of its establishment. Currently he is a senior exective adviser of Nippon Design Center, Inc., and a member of Japan Graphic Designers Association / JAGDA. Awards include: the JAAC Membership Prize; the Asahi Advertising Award; the Mainichi Design Award; the International Biennial Exhibition of Prints in Tokyo, the Tokyo National Museum of Modern Art Prize; the JAGDA Exhibition, the Gold Prize, the Silver Prize; the Tokyo ADC Members' Award, the Grand Award, the Silver Prize, the Bronze Prize; the JAAC Prize, the Yamana Prize; the Minister of Education Prize for the Art; the Purple Ribbon Medal; the Warsaw International Poster Biennial, the Gold prize, the Silver Prize, the Special Prize; the Brno International Graphic Design Biennial, the Grand Prix, the Gold Prize; the Mexico International Poster Biennial, the First Prize; and the Moscow International Poster Triennial, the Grand Prix.
