Born 1938 in Kobe. Graduated from Kuwasawa Design School and Waseda University Faculty of Arts, specializing in fine arts, and went on to postgraduate studies. Founded PAOS in 1968. Has acted as consultant on CI projects, business strategies and brand strategies for over 100 companies including NTT, KENWOOD, BENESSE, INAX, The Mainichi (newspaper) and ITOCHU. Founded PAOS Beijing and PAOS Shanghai. When Chairman, privatized the G-Mark Committee. Founded World Good Design Inc. in 2000. Member of Japan Graphic Designers Association.
