Born in 1954, Robert was raised and schooled in Germany, Switzerland and England. He is active internationally as a consultant, design strategist, creative practitioner, juror, policy advisor, and guest lecturer. The founding principal of Circle Design Incorporated in Winnipeg, Canada, he is also president of Icograda, a vice president of Design for the World, and a Fellow of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. Robert writes on worldwide design issues for "Communication Arts" magazine and is editor of "GDC Graphic Design Journal". He has traveled extensively (more than 50 countries) and enjoys nature, mountain climbing, and human-powered outdoor activities.
