Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Graduate School of Fine Arts, 1985. Since the mid-1980's Tanaka has been prolific in art and design of all kinds; he has created his own artworks, launched exhibitions and projects, collaborated with scientists and has lectured within Japan and overseas. He has been internationally active as a science museum designer. As an art director he has also worked on films, music videos, commercial films, performances, culture related projects, advertising, corporate identities and products. He has written two books, "Artist. Designer and Director SCAN #3 Noriyuki Tanaka" (Rikuyosha Co., Ltd. Tokyo) and "The Art of Clear Light"(Digitalogue Co., Ltd.). |
