Born in Yamanashi Prefecture, 1956. Graduated 3-D design course, Tama Art University College of Art and Design. Worked as a designer at the Seiko Epson Corporation before going to the United States to work at ID TWO, a precursor of IDEO. I returned to Japan in 1996, founded IDEO Japan, serving as president. In December 2002, I altered his relationship with IDEO by becoming an IDEO fellow and establishing Naoto Fukasawa Design in Tokyo.
